Configuring LookupHandler

The LookupHandler supports the following configuration entries; where each configuration entry name is associated with the component names com.gigaspaces.grid and com.gigaspaces.grid.lookup.

Configuration Entry for com.gigaspaces.grid
The following configuration entry is associated with the component name com.gigaspaces.grid.

• groups

  Type:	String[]
  Default:	new String[]{"gs-grid"}
  Description:	This entry will be read at initialization by the LookupHandler to determine the initial set of multicast discovery groups the LookupHandler should participate in.

Configuration Entry for com.gigaspaces.grid.lookup
The following configuration entries are associated with the component name com.gigaspaces.grid.lookup.

• lookupServiceMinimum

  Type:	int
  Default:	3
  Description:	This entry will be read at initialization by the LookupHandler, and specifies the minimum number of Lookup service instances (Jini technology lookup services) that should be running (discoverable). If this value is -1, a Lookup service will always be created by this utility (as long as it has not already created a Lookup service).

• multicastAnnouncementInterval

  Type:	long
  Default:	10000
  Description:	A lookup service will send out multicast packets announcing its existence every N milliseconds; for some value of N. The value of this entry controls how often the LookupDiscovery utility examines the multicast announcements from previously discovered lookup services for liveness.

• multicastTestTime

  Type:	int
  Default:	10000
  Description:	This entry will be read at initialization by the LookupHandler, and specifies the Timeout for Jini technology multicast verification.

• randomBound

  Type:	int
  Default:	10000
  Description:	This entry will be read at initialization by the LookupHandler, and specifies the upper bound for random number computation. The value is used to compute the random delay (in milliseconds) the LookupHandler uses to start Lookup Service instances.
